Mass media influences and the psychosocial conditions of the victim are social determinants of bullying. Research findings on the phenomenon of bullying confirm that attitudes toward school bullying, perceived strains at school, negative influence from mass media, and poor psychosocial conditions have a relationship.
The media divides people into groups such as nice looking and ugly looking. Television can affect the behavior of bullying and it can have on effect on a bully. Television and videogames present examples of violence and are culprits in the bad behavior of the children within the society. Electronic media can have effects on behavior because much of the content of commercial tv shows is highly violent. Commercials themselves use sophisticated techniques to manipulate viewers into bad behavior. It can result in children having a bad relationship with other children and it can cause them to feel alienated as adults.
Children need to become aware at a very young age that in a world where mass media and mass communication exponentially grow day by day, cyber bullying will only get worse if they allow it to trespass into their personal online lives.
The mass media can be used to promote social growth and thinking skills. Television and the newer electronic media have a great positive potential for learning and development. Mass media can give children strong visual and skills.
Electronic media are better than the printed word for conveying certain types of information, and it makes learning available to a group of children who do not do well in traditional school situations and even to people who cannot read.
The children need to use the mass media in a good way, adults can talk with the bully about two topics of mass media the good way and bad the way of information

It is truth that nowadays media is full of violence and bad guidance. That influence mixed with the children's mind is a great factor to increase bullying. Parents should give the correct guidance to the child, so the child can have a good social interaction.
ReplyDeleteMass media greatly affects the character of children, yet the type of content that exhibits is very easy for children to think that this is normal and which is appropriate because children are vulnerable to manipulation through television.
